ADVANCED TRAINING PROGRAMMES

Training programmes structured around the client’s aircraft, personnel, existing competence, operating environment and intended outcome. HAFT defines the required competencies and develops a focused pathway to address specific operational or organisational capability requirements.

Sling Load training develops precision aircraft handling, power management, external-load competence and crew coordination. The programme prepares helicopter crews to transport equipment and supplies where terrain, infrastructure or restricted landing areas prevent conventional access.

Advanced General Flying develops adaptable helicopter crews for remote, unfamiliar and non-standard operating environments. Training integrates advanced aircraft handling, operational planning, terrain assessment, performance management, crew coordination and decision-making under changing conditions.

Advanced Instructor Training develops qualified instructors to teach, supervise and standardise complex helicopter skills. Training addresses advanced handling, emergency instruction, competency assessment, risk management and the safe transfer of operational knowledge within the client organisation.

Training combines advanced helicopter handling, aerial observation, terrain awareness, low-level navigation and air-to-ground coordination. It develops crews to support conservation, area monitoring, remote access and other operations conducted beyond established infrastructure.

Mountain Flying develops the aircraft handling and judgement required for high-terrain operations. Pilots learn to assess wind, terrain, density altitude, aircraft performance, power margins, weather and escape options before committing to a manoeuvre.
