Component Capability for African Helicopter Fleets
Henley Component Repair and Overhaul, CRO, provides specialist inspection, repair and overhaul of helicopter airframe components from its dedicated facility at Rand Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa.
CRO was established to strengthen rotary-wing component capability within Africa. Local access to specialised support can reduce the operational complexity associated with international transport, extended supply chains, foreign exchange exposure and overseas turnaround times.
CRO’s current capability is centred primarily on Bell helicopter components, supported by engineers with extensive Bell maintenance and component-overhaul experience. Technical support also extends to approved parts, materials and component brands used across supported Bell platforms, working through established OEM and specialist supply networks where required.
The objective is to return serviceable components to operation while supporting aircraft availability, fleet resilience and the continued development of specialist technical capability within Africa.
Component Repair
and Overhaul Services
Component overhaul requires specialised facilities, tooling, approved technical data and experienced personnel. Components are disassembled, inspected and assessed against defined standards before repair, replacement, reassembly, testing and return to service.
Where appropriate, component overhaul can be combined with structured technical development. Client personnel may gain exposure to inspection, defect assessment, overhaul processes, specialised tooling, technical documentation, quality assurance and traceability while their organisation’s component progresses through the maintenance process.
